Costume & Wardrobe Intern Summer 2018; 55th Season
Worked as a costume and wardrobe intern for Millbrook’s 55th season, from the end of May to beginning of August 2018. Under the supervision of Producing Artistic Director David E. Leidholdt, and Costume Shop Manager Michelle Stovall, I worked on costumes for all 8 shows, plus their weekend children’s show. I was also on wardrobe crew for three of their main stage performances which included, Beauty and The Beast, Sister Act, and How Too Kill a Mockingbird. During my time with Millbrook I was shown various skills on theatre costuming ranging from alterations, to quick rigging various garments. On the wardrobe crew I learned how to work as a team with stage management, sound, and the actors to perform a multitude of quick changes, alongside other tasks. I enjoyed my time at Millbrook Playhouse, and will take the experience I gained with me into the future.
